PhD Candidate - Faculty of Communication, Culture and Society, USI - Università della Svizzera italiana
Charlotte Stachel is a Ph.D. candidate in Digital Fashion Communication at the Institute of Digital Technologies for Communication at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) in Lugano, Switzerland.
In September 2022, she joined USI as a junior researcher and teaching assistant for the MSc in Digital Fashion Communication, a double-degree program offered by USI and Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (France).
She focuses on the digitalization of fashion heritage and how digital archives are used by fashion brands for their digital and phygital communication practices, such as through online exhibitions. Her research is conducted within a collaborative project between USI – Università della Svizzera italiana and Bally, within the framework of the Lifestyle Tech Competence Center in Lugano, Switzerland.
Between 2017 and 2022, Charlotte worked as a communications specialist at the Federal Department of Justice and Police (FDJP) and the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) in Bern.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media Research from the University of Fribourg and a Master’s degree in Public Management and Policy with a specialization in Public Communication and Management from the University of Bern and USI.
