Driven by a keen interest in fashion media, Preshita Thakur is a Ph.D. student exploring the digitization of Indian fashion magazines. Originally from Himachal Pradesh in northern India, Preshita’s academic journey began with a Bachelor’s in Fashion Communication from NIFT India, followed by a Master’s in Journalism & Creative Writing. She has experience working within the Indian fashion industry, but it was her formative internships at Elle India and Elle Singapore that truly ignited her passion setting the stage for her current work under the guidance of Professor Matthew Hibberd and Professor Lorenzo Cantoni.
